6 Most Anticipated Games of 2013

The inner gamer of me always like to go ahead in time and find out what awesome titles are awaiting me to get my hands on. Almost every year now I will go through what catches my eyes and share them here — my readers. These are some of the most anticipated games, I believe. I’ll be damn if they are not considered Triple-A Star titles being developed by renown game developing companies.

Not to mention these are some of the game that I’m looking forward to. A thing about AAA title games is that the day of it will be numbered soon according to an article I read. After some thoughts about it and judging by the market condition of today. It’s bleak and dire. Well, that’s if you are developing Triple-A games. The reason why is due to they can cost millions easily upwards, need years to develop and the return profits are not enough.

However, there’s still a chance the way I see it. To expand into another market like social games and mobile games while adopting a freemium model. Many have been successful, I mean, just take a dive in the app store and view the top game section. I know, it will especially suck if they really do it on these Triple-A title like you are free to finish the story but in order to go deeper you will need to pay a little bit more. Or they block off important missions so you will need to unlock by purchasing it. There are actually more on it that I can talk but we are talking about anticipated games today.

Without further ado~

  1. The Last of Us last-of-us

PS 3 Exclusive! It’s an upcoming survival horror action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog. You will play Joel, a harden black marketeer accompanying with you is a young girl name Ellie , trekking across a post-apocalyptic United States.

You will be fighting for your life against infected human (zombie-like) and survivor who won’t take you kindly in the game. The trailer are pretty amazing presenting the story and gameplay.
    Release date: 7th May 2013

  2. Tomb Raider tomb-raider

This is a reboot to the old Tomb Raider franchise with a much more realistic Lara Croft now. It’s an upcoming action-adventure platform video game published by Square Enix and developed by Crystal Dynamics which developed the old Tomb Raider series.

The game goes back to the early days of Lara Croft when she started her journey into the world to make her mark. I’m getting a feel that the hunting and gathering part will be more fine tuned compare to Far Cry 3 where Jason collect herbs to create boosters/potions and animal skins for upgrades. Release date: 5th March 2013

  3. Dead Space 3 dead-space-3

It’s an upcoming third-person shooter video game by developed by Visceral Games and publish by EA Games. Poor Issac Clarke is at it again suffering through his induced dementia while staying a life in a whole new environment.

However, you won’t be alone anymore. Yup, that’s right! You will be accompanied by another survivor. So, co-op is an option for those who are too scared to try the game out in the previous can now be lead along by a friend who have experience with the game before.

  5. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklistsplinter-cell-blacklist

Sam Fisher is back to kill some bad guys in style while working as an acting commander of a new agency call the Fourth Echelon set forward by President of the United States, Patricia Caldwell. The game is an upcoming action-adventure stealth game from Ubisoft and the sixth installment of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series.

I love the last game which was Conviction. I don’t know why but I like to pick off enemy as silently and as practical as possible. You know some time you can cheat game mechanics like moving just besides the enemy in some stealth game and the AI won’t detect you. I don’t like that. It doesn’t make sense in the real world. So, I will choose the path where it make sense the most and proceed with the mission.

    Release date: 20th August 2013

  6. Crysis 3

This is a sequel to one of the industry most graphic intensive game released in 2011 — Crysis 2. It will be one of the top again as a demo video released last year showcasing their new improvement to the CryEngine3. Secret toad tech :o The game is developed by Crytek and being published by EA Games.

Better upgrade your hardware, especially your graphic card as your machine will take a beating from this game if you want to fully enjoy this game on everything with its maximum settings.
